The Toyo Ink Group has set out a vision of becoming a "globally useful specialty chemical manufacturer". We therefore manufacture our products so as to ensure that users can use them with confidence and that they are environmentally friendly from a forward-looking perspective.

To achieve this goal, we established our first environmental management system in 1973, since which time we have continued to focus on environmental friendliness and operational safety as the company has grown and developed. As part of our environmental management system, we take into account the safety of raw materials used to manufacture our products and operate a system to verify and register the safety of all raw materials. In addition to complying with legislation the world over, we also impose strict voluntary regulations in an effort to supply the market with the safest possible products.

We currently operate a policy of CSR procurement for all raw materials, select the safest options when there are different sources available for the same material and prioritize procurement of raw materials from quality companies that have a solid understanding of our position as a company.

In the interests of protecting the environment for future generations, our cutting-edge environmentally friendly products are developed from the following four key perspectives based on life cycle assessments.

1. Minimizing environmental impact and ensuring safety at the raw material stage
2. Minimizing environmental impact as part of production and distribution (including containers and packaging)
3. Minimizing environmental impact when our products are used by users and on the market
4. Minimizing environmental impact when disposing of products after use

Our aim is not to manufacture environmentally friendly products from a narrow perspective, merely ensuring that the Toyo Ink Group remains in harmony with the environment, but to work together with users and the market in order to ensure that our activities comprehensively help preserve the global environment in every sense.
